SCENA CONTEMPORANEA Adattamento di un'opera giovanile dello scrittore svizzero Robert Walser, L'Etang della regista e coreografa francese Gisèle Vienne, racconta il dramma familiare di un ragazzo che, non sentendosi amato, finge di suicidarsi per mettere alla prova l'amore materno. Un'opera contemporanea a più voci con la sola presenza in scena di Adèle Haenel e Henrietta Wallberg che interpretano rispettivamente uno e due ruoli: Haenel, che ha raggiunto la fama come attrice cinematografica nel film Ritratto della giovane in fiamme di Cél ine Sciamma, incarna Fritz, i l personaggio centrale che finge il suicidio, i suoi fratelli e i suoi giovani amici, mentre Fernandez rappresenta gli altri personaggi della storia. Nel paesaggio sonoro di L'Etang ogni sospiro è amplificato da un'inquietante colonna sonora elettronica che suscita diversi livelli di percezione della realtà e dell'interiorità sollevando domande sul teatro e sulle convenzioni familiari. Adaptation of an early work by the Swiss writer Robert Walser, L'Etang (The Pond, der Teich) reveals an intricate tale of filial love through the actresses, Adèle Haenel and HenriettaWallberg. L'Etang is the story of a boy who feels unloved by his mother and, at the lowest point of his despair, pretends to commit suicide in order to see her love for him one last time. Several levels of perception of reality and temporality, interiority and exteriority coexist. In examining the conventions of the theater and the family, L'Etang notably raises the question of the shared representation of reality, the social norm, and what we see, while shaking up its essential aspects.
